This policy explains what cookies and similar storage SkillMatcher uses, why we use them, and how you can change your choice at any time.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We also use comparable browser storage (localStorage) for the same purposes — for example, to remember your cookie choice and your light or dark theme preference.

2. Categories We Use

Essential (always on)

Required for the platform to work. These cannot be switched off, because without them you could not sign in or stay signed in.

• Authentication: Supabase session tokens that keep you logged in and authorise your requests.
• Security: protection against request forgery and abuse.
• Preferences: your cookie choice and your theme selection.

Analytics (optional)

Helps us measure how many people visit, which features are used, and where the experience breaks down. These are only set if you allow them, and nothing analytics-related loads before you consent. If you reject analytics, no analytics scripts or identifiers are loaded at all.

3. Changing Your Choice

You can change your preferences whenever you like — your choice takes effect immediately and is stored in your browser.

You can also clear cookies and site data directly in your browser settings. Doing so removes your stored choice, and you will be asked again on your next visit.
